The challenge
Neurologists interpreting Parkinson’s movement data from the Personal KinetiGraph faced a 5-page PDF that took 30+ minutes to decode — time most appointments don’t have.
My role
Software design lead across a 10-week, 48-participant research and design engagement.
The work
We transformed the static report into an intuitive interactive web report built in React with D3 visualizations — letting neurologists assess medication timing, dyskinesia patterns, and treatment efficacy at a glance.
The impact
The system shipped to production at pkgcare.com in January 2021, unchanged from the prototype. I’m named co-inventor on U.S. Design Patent Application 29/700,506 — and the client board said they wished the collaboration had happened five years earlier.
