The challenge
GLP-1s created an impossible bind for insurers: enormous member demand, unsustainable costs, and a coverage experience reduced to a binary yes/no. Elevance asked how a differentiated offering could go beyond prescription access to deliver wraparound care and sustainable outcomes.
My role
Guide and relationship lead, within the multi-sprint Elevance Growth Studio program I originated.
The work
Research with 25+ members, providers, and employers informed four core concepts: ReadyCheck (eligibility forecasting), GLP-1 First Plan (transparent coverage), Metaboflow AI (a clinician-supervised companion), and Forward Path (denial navigation). Together they reframe GLP-1 coverage as a personalized metabolic health journey with AI coaching under clinical supervision.
The impact
Elevance committed to a GLP-1 pilot in Q1 2026, targeting 4% enrollment of clinically eligible members — and a differentiated employer value proposition in a $4B market.
