The challenge
Half of all people with Alzheimer’s and related dementias are never diagnosed — which means programs that could help them never reach them. Together Senior Health needed to understand why.
My role
Guide and product leadership across a 5-week IRB-approved design sprint — the second engagement in a sustained relationship.
The work
We interviewed 22 providers across 13 California healthcare settings and identified four priority opportunity areas in the diagnosis pathway. Three concept directions came out of it: a CME course for providers, a patient/caregiver Healthy Aging Kit, and provider quick-reference materials.
The impact
The work contributed to a $600K+ sustained relationship, informed an academic publication and a CDPH public health partnership, and fed into Together Senior Health’s 2024 acquisition by Linus Health.
